This is a 48 watt, 120 volt cable heater used on all electrically heated StallFounts, EcoFounts, OminFounts, CattleMasters, and PorkKings. This heat cable travels along (wraps around) the water supply from below the surface of the slab your fountain is bolted down on,  all the way up to the float valve assembly. It will keep the water supply line from freezing – this also known as a “heat tape” in the plumbing world. A good seal between the fountain and the slab is also essential to preventing freezups. NOTE: this heater is turned on and off by the thermostat – it is not a self regulating heat tape.
